you can phone me if you want to
if that is what you like
do you remember last night
it is not a warning
i am sure we meant the world to each other
but that was last night,
what about this morning?
you knew my name last night
but this morning, i am just, ‘he’
in the colder sober light of day
do you remember me
do you remember me this morning?
you can phone me if you like
i wonder if you will
because the difference between last night
and today
is in how you feel
you can remember me, in your letters
and the things you write
i am still thinking about you
do you remember last night?
