Looking Up – Written Saturday 18th February 1995 (Aged 19)

Looking Up

i want to do so many things
because life is looking up
surely it can only get better
because i cannot get enough
i want to help create everything
and one day we will all do it
you can say that –
you do not really understand
you can look outwards
and only do what you can
you can move forwards
to make a much better stand
you’ve got to see it in your head
before it all goes to nothing
and before we are all dead
i would like to save the world
if only i could –
make you feel like that you care
if only you would
i want to be far away from panic
if only i could
everything is looking up
then i knew it would
