Unlocked Unlit Door
it is not strange
to know exactly what you are about
to be alone on a clifftop
you can jump,
but if it is not meant to be
then something will stop
living at the manor
at the top of easterly drive
they do not use money to insulate the walls
but somehow they survive
wasting away with a feeling of space
inside your mind it may be crowded
but your heart can be a hollow place
where cobwebs cover everything that is there
and swallows dive beneath the surface
singing to yourself
as you contemplate using the t.v
there is nothing else
you always saw in me
catch a mirror,
and maybe we will catch your soul
i have no wine and even less dinner
but please, do not go
we have another world to explore
come, jump with us
through an unlit, unlocked, door
