Share a Sixpence – Written Friday 6th August 2021 (Aged 46)

Share a Sixpence

do not fall apart
find yourself
a paperweight
and a way to –
keep out the draft
be like –
the very best paperchains
do not shed –
hopeless paper tears
for your life
because your life
is always your own
and the roads
and the boulders
are no place to call home
this is now –
and this is a moment
where the world
tries to share a sixpence
how have humans become this
given their experience
