Warmth Somehow Leaves – Written May 2009 (Aged 34)

Warmth Somehow Leaves

the way you discard people
leaves me cold
i read what you had to say
and i just felt sad
there is no warmth –
that matches the weather
no respect,
are you really together?
that jigsaw you create
remains your own design
and as long as the pieces fit
then everything will be fine
what you say,
and then what you are
has no real context
and the fantasy is just not true
who will be next
when it starts to leak through
he will play your game
for as long as you need
there is nothing beyond the gates
warmth somehow leaves
