Sleeping Beauty
can’t shake off the madness
so i went in search of silence
something that will not kill
if only i could reach out and touch
but it does not make sense
it is just far too surreal
i would like to know
just how it feels to be sleeping beauty
away from the madness
and immediate family
if i could take a lover with me
that would brighten the reality
can’t shake off the madness
a coat too heavy on my back
ability to communicate
something i feel i lack
their pain is just so strange
my heartfelt limp looks bizarre
because i do not seem to lame
can’t shake off this madness
the madness around me is so immense
