Living and Existing – Written Monday 2nd June 2008 (Aged 33)

Living and Existing

people appear to forget –
that there is a difference –
between living and existing
after all,
is existence not just living
but with the shutters pulled down?
and,
isn’t,
living about opening them up –
so that the light can flood in?
some people do know what it is like
to actually live
to feel alive
and go beyond the phrase,
‘i exist’,
because there is a difference
between living and just existing
between plain old numbers
and ultimate, consequential feeling
