Inside Out – Written Friday 24th August 2007 (Aged 32)

Inside Out

every time i see you smile
i turn inside out
and my emotions hold a parade
i cannot explain
i can only offer a serenade
every time i see your smile
i know its upside down
my emotions,
celebrate every birthday
i cannot explain
there is nothing i can say
i should not be feeling this way
committed to another
i start to feel their smother
i pick up the telephone,
and i cry to my mother
every time i see your smile
i am turned upside down
it’s like the joy of the inner child
