Humour In Its Glitches – Written Saturday 15th October 2005 (Aged 30)

Humour In Its Glitches

life runs you down
then reserves back over you
just to make sure
perhaps it’s just the people
trying to steal someone else’s future
life takes you into town
has a drink or two
tells you a story
and if all goes well
you are invited back for coffee
life has you in stiches
with its ironic touch
if you can find the humour in its glitches
it does not hurt as much
life runs you down
but still offers you a lift
it’s a tragi-comic story
one of the strangest gifts

James Garratt – Saturday 15th October 2005
