One Flash of Your Smile (One Flash of Your Eyes)
i saw you today
and i had to catch my breath
it had not gone away
i thought of all the things we said
and how they now –
swim around my head
what was once so alive –
is so quickly dead
i saw you today
and all the things i had felt –
returned and they decided to stay
i have been under an illusion
that all this had gone away
i know it is forbidden
and i know what you would say
by lust, it was truly driven
but one burst of your smile
one flash of your eyes
and it starts over as i am torn up inside
