Children Need Parents

children need parents
they do
i was a child once
weren’t you?
they need love
to find their feet
to feel like they –
could conquer the world
to have self belief
they do
didn’t you?
i know they do
i was a child once
weren’t you?
they need to believe –
that they are accepted
cherished, loved
and respected
no cast aside
or left with traumas
children need parents
they do
i was a child once
weren’t you?
