Bathing in Their Moat

they have people –
at each others throats
they sit back
and are happy to gloat
it amazes me –
that they continue to get your vote
human rights –
are becoming a footnote
culture wars –
are left wing tropes they have people –
at each others throats
they provide the rope
it amazes me –
that they continue to get your vote
they sit back –
and inhale your fearful smoke
you should invade their castle
instead of bathing in their moat
