Locked in Tight
here i lay tonight,
not alone,
but locked in tight
as it rains outside
and you shine so bright
i wander through my past
through stormy seas
and a damaged mast
through bright days
that i always hoped would last
now expectations fill me
and take me to the edge
i look to the future
and hang onto a ledge
here i lay tonight
so lucky in my emotions
and emotionally so rich
you are still and sleeping
you do not move or twitch
your beauty is ever present
and it means i am always rich
