Like Rain Down My Windows – Written Tuesday 22nd October 2002 (Aged 27)

Like Rain Down My Windows

some days run like rain down my windows
some days the pain is insurmountable
and the feelings that we have
can seem so unsubstantial
but holding on for dearest life
with what seems most faithful
and what seems most right
climbs all the mountains
and shines on that beautiful light
so when the rain comes
and claws at my windows
just begging to be let in
i let that light shine on
and i cling onto what is bright
what feels so faithful and what feels right
