I Am Biased in the Sun

i am more biased in the sun
tend to be overwhelmed in snow
i am partially high
and sometimes quite low
people,
i find frustrating
but their children –
are never sociopaths
especially when it comes to birthday greetings
i am strong in my belief
but i could scream at those meetings
where critical thinking –
is all too fleeting

i am more biased in the sun
tend to be overwhelmed in snow
i am here in colour
but sometimes the contrast is low
people,
i find unreal and often not quite sane
their children are never sociopaths
even when they all look the same
i am wrought when sought
and there are narrow places in my brain
if comprehension is like sunshine
then it helps account for all the pouring rain
