The Healing Process – Written January 2001 (Aged 25)

The Healing Process

they are the healing process
or at least,
part of it
no expectations on me
and none of you
talking, just talking
that is all we want to do
repairing the barriers
with emotion laden glue
find the common ground
where there is no signs of madness
and only us around
they are the healing process
helping me,
so that i can understand again
allowing me space
space to just be myself
instead of those past burdens
and the desire to be somebody else
the process is slow
it’s difficult and drawn out
repairing the damage
cleaning up the mess
talking, just talking
they are the healing process
