I Am Made of Glass – Written January 2001 (Aged 25)

I Am Made of Glass

picking up the pieces
i am made of glass
and some years ago,
they said this phase would not pass
they used to enquire
now they never ask
because they know i am set to last
picking up the pieces
i am made of glass
many different types
many different colours
from crystal clear to bottle green
i have been crafted then shattered
and then put back together again
so i will carry on with this phase
because it is paper daisies i chase
picking up the pieces
i am made of glass
