The Big City
the big city for a big city girl
london town calls you
london town courts you
a wide eyed secretary
in a business world
a world of suits and treachery
catch your train at seven
the big city has a dawn
but it can be a false heaven
how do you tell?
well with london town
you have to find the definition –
of heaven and hell
the big city and its buildings
the ones that spire
with it’s city skyscrapers
that grow higher and higher
places that the ego can fill
the big city for a big city girl
