I Fear the Illusion
i am not as good as you think
i like to dream
i like the way dreams move
and the way dreams drink
i like the way –
they always choose cocktails
that make you think
i like the way –
the alcohol content always feels high
i like the way –
dreams say hello –
even when they say goodbye
so this is an encounter
perched as a tear from the corner of my eye
i am not as good as you think
and truthfully, i cannot lie
