The Tango – Written Thursday 1st February 2001 (Aged 25)

The Tango

it takes two to tango,
but just one to fall to apart
one to find the finish line
and one to falter at the start

it takes two to tango,
one to move on
and one to be left alone on the floor
one to find someone else
and one to leave by the side door

it takes two to tango,
but just one to have regrets
one to brood in-between sighs
and one to survey what is left

it takes two to tango,
well, actually that is not true
it only takes one,
one to find the universe
and the other to lose sight of the sun
