It’s Easy – Written Sunday 1st July 2001 (Aged 26)

It’s Easy

loving you is easy,
it’s everything i hoped for
it will not compensate for childhood
but compensation is for the future
loving you is easy,
sailing a boat in the wind
it won’t solve the world
but the world does not need solving
perhaps it should be a little less harsh
but it is constantly evolving
loving you is easy,
i used to swim with sharks
i would run a marathon on broken glass
i would dance with the dark
but all that has passed
loving you is easy,
a piece of the heart
one day soon,
we will be where we should be
a place of nature
you mean everything to me
and loving you is easy
