These Days
lighting candles
in a fireplace i found
being a best man,
in for a penny, in for a pound
these days,
this is my life
curled up with you
watching television
i would rather not watch
but it reveals to me
these are days not to be forgot
celebrating friends
redecorating mum’s home
these are the days i cherish
and i do not feel alone
living life with the confidence
i have now found
or perhaps i have discovered
finally, something better
something i have uncovered
