Games – Written May 2010 (Aged 35)

Games

if i meant that much
you would have stayed
oh,
the silly girl games you played
oh,
i entertained you for sure
but that was in the past
and now,
now i am embracing a future
oh,
i tire of the tiresome people
those who underestimate my worth
they proclaim absolute care
but somehow you come off worse
i think,
perhaps,
that sometimes we use people
just to fill perceived gaps
sometimes we do it when we are lost
we mistake people for maps
and when we are thirsty,
for a tap,
oh,
the silly girl games you played
