The Things I Lost
i do think back to the moment
i put them before you
and i am filled with a regret
even if life has worked itself out anyway
you on your path and me on mine
but i do think back to that time
i was always well meant,
i just never took account of the expense
and there was always a cost
all i can do is think of things i lost
