Imagine Crying – Written Monday 20th October 1997 (Aged 22)

Imagine Crying

i clasped my hands
not in prayer but in hope
i cannot imagine dying
but i know about –
the never ending crying
and it is no joke,
to wander amongst the desolation
of the feelings that you broke
i showed my face
but my face was heavy
and my eyes were red
the mouth no longer lying
i cannot imagine being dead
but i can imagine crying
i have shown myself up
so i clasped my hands
and hoped that would be enough

James Garratt – Monday 20th October 1997
