All The Right Words
i have got all the right words
to make a person smile
i will see you monday
and yet,
that seems so far away
i feel close,
not closed
that is more than i hoped for
how we laughed,
and how we joked
but i am serious underneath
my belief is not my need
it is you who i see –
when it is time to breathe
i had all the right words
and this seems so strange
i will see you monday
and we can be close again
