Times Of Strange Play – Written October 1997 (Aged 22)

Times Of Strange Play

what happened to our ouija board
when did we put it away
was it when it when we crossed to the other side
before,
we we has physically died
how we grew,
how our minds expanded and nearly blew
the church cannot complain
we were always playing the bullshit game
the one of power and selfish greed
people say they are praying to god
but all you are doing is praying on peoples weakest need
what happened to our magic
i see you still carry yours
and that you can still see through doors
astral projection is my friend
i have still got it stuck in my mind
it is like the universe,
always expanding and beyond true understanding
i still have some of those ouija boards
the ones we made when we were seventeen
in-between teenage dreaming
when life hadn’t yet stolen us
and each others company was just about enough
those were times of strange play
those ouija board days
