A New Destination
give me a phone call
saturday afternoon is always going down
come into town,
call me from the station
i will be waiting
hoping for a new destination
still a kid on the inside
still wondering why it is we are alive
and still haven’t found divine inspiration
just some civil legislation
give me a chance
i am sure to blow it
don’t you know that?
if you know so much,
tell me the true price of someone’s touch
tell me if you ever get enough
come into town,
i will be waiting as you pull up
and i suddenly come around
don’t dull my senses
from all these sights and sounds
that this experience has to offer
a new destination
that is my only expectation
and if that idea let’s me down
then all i can do is go with the situation
