Gap Year (Gap Decade) – Thursday 12th September 2019

Gap Year (Gap Decade)

gap year –
i took a gap decade
fireworks,
almost, i did quickly fade
the sky is on fire
any time i think back
every alcoholic drink is a liar
when i start down the track
mental state, decomposition
a symphony written
you know mum did the knitting
i just wore the mittens

gap year –
i took a gap decade
i took a course in mental work
and fashioned myself a cage
i chose to yellow every page
i found out –
the cost of my inner rage
all of the things in which i became embroiled
my home made proclamations
so quickly foiled
gap year –
i took a gap decade
