Better People

i have been let down by better people
people i love,
people who have had it much harder
people who have been pushed and shoved
people who should have been there
people who should have loved me
but people who were unable to care
i have been let down by better people
people who courage and blunt honesty
and people who had natural grace
people who stood up and told it to my face
i have been let down by better people
