Belief – Written Wednesday 4th October 2006 (Aged 31)

Belief

in a way a belief system for some –
is a way to move on
without belief –
there is no conclusion to the song
she believes,
and who can blame her
she has to believe so she can move on
she has to give reasons for the past
so hopefully one it will be gone
has i suffered like she had
i think i would want to believe
just so i could avoid a complete collapse
in a way belief gives structure –
to an unstructured life
it explains why things happen
it helps to heal the inside
and she believes, it tells her why
that is why i cannot judge her pain
the damage done but those mentally lame
it’s like finding god
and it is like having a crutch
of course that is what she cannot let go of
she believes,
and sometimes the past is just too much
