Love And Validation

i cannot see the understanding
that you claim,
i cannot see the understanding
in a label you have given me
i can see a need,
a heartfelt belief
a plaster to stop the bleed
but i cannot see the understanding
of course, words do hide,
they do not reveal the shocking truth
that you are desperate to keep inside
because your view,
is actually deeply insensitive
and you just want validation and love
but i still cannot see the understanding
from the label you hung above
