So Many Questions – Written Wednesday 18th January 2023 (Aged 47)

So Many Questions

i have so many questions
but you have both gone
and now you have,
i am left without a mum
and without a dad
and as the years roll on
i have so many questions
but you are both gone
and now,
i will never know
so many things must be lost –
to space and time
and so many answers
will never be mine
i will always be blind
i have so many questions
but i have lost you both
and though lives,
hang by hope
you have both gone
and answers have eloped
i have so many questions
and as the years roll on
they all increase
so much of my past now
will remain forever incomplete
i have so many questions
as if,
i do not know where i am from
but you have both died
and that means the answers are gone
