Today Is Sad – Written Tuesday 21st November 2007 (Aged 32)

Today Is Sad

today is sad,
if it had got dressed
it would be in greys and browns
a tatty frock overcoat
and with eyes that appear to drown

today is sad,
if it was a day off
it would be sat at home
trying to make sense of this world
and feeling quite alone

today is sad,
if it was a human
its shoulders would be hunched
and its head bowed down
emotions would be painted in grey
with a touch of brown

today is sad…
