Imperfections – Written Sunday 9th December 2007 (Aged 32)

Imperfections

my imperfections –
have become my own crown jewels
my fatal flaws –
have become the handles
to all of my doors
and my funny ways –
are the pebbles on my shore
i try to change –
and i try to be better
but i caught fate hiding in my room
they had left me a letter
but i cannot reveal what was said
but the words when decoded –
suggested that you are a long time dead
my imperfection –
no longer tie to me to life’s bed
i just shrug my shoulders –
and i shake my head
my fatal flaws –
are not even the punchline
in fact they are the comedic pause

      1. Yes, I noticed that, too… I used to type “i” for years… until I progressed to “I” – because I did not feel tiny any longer. 😉 IT fits now, I think.
I really like your handwriting – it is beautiful and has an honest, calm feel to it. I will be back, reading… I am certain.

      2. Thank you. I’m slowly typing everything I have. So from 1993 when I was 18 till now. It’s an ongoing project! Still use writing pads, they feel intimate and personal :)!! I have progressed to I yet, still on i 🙂

      3. Oh, that is a beautiful thing to do! You can watch the progress and relive parts of your life as you type. Very glad I found your writing. Looking forward to what is to come.
