self help people
they tell us to deny happiness
and sadness
there is talk of love,
of optimism
as if we should push down negativity
as if it is that simple
to change outlooks or reality
talk of surrounding yourself with love
may well have meaning
but we are emotional beings
that is why our eyes are streaming
and i know,
every self help person
is smiling outside
as the depressions feasts on the inside
and i know they sell products
just to thrive,
and i can guess at their true pain inside
i say find your emotions
and be loved
fit into your dreams
as if they were the most precious gloves
self help people
never really help enough
