my soft spot for you
has always been there
i have always felt protective
i have always cared
the feisty veneer
the soft underneath
it makes me hold you near
my soft spot for you
it is not born out of pity
or a belief that you are hopeless
i just think you are special
and deserve happiness
i have always felt this way
ever since we first met
my soft spot for you
in a space that my heart has to let
