You Write About Me
you write about me with a piece –
optimistically under the banner of, ‘poetry’
your strangulated communication skills
suffocated in the wheeze of your perception
raindrops tearing through memories
you, nothing more than pitiful deception
you write about me,
hoping for bountiful communication
yet the words,
are caught in buckets of repressed anger
and a sawdust of bittersweet words –
they just never connect,
just as your rhyme, reason and rationality
have never really met
you wait for the responses
hoping strangers will stroke your ego
and jump start that broken self esteem
you wait for my anger,
hoping to be satisfied by it’s steam
yet you remain there looking awkward
with your nervous laugh,
and somehow always looking lonely and bored

Wow… your words are so sharp that I fear I will cut myself reading. Amazing work!

Thank you. This isn’t a personal favourite period of writing in my life, occasionally things come up I like though :).
