Remember That Feeling – Written August 2005 (Aged 30)

Remember That Feeling

today when i made that comment
the one,
that caused everyone to laugh
and then point out that i was right
the comment which i said
and caused you to sit there and sulk
and then mumble your words
because you had been humiliated
and you had been hurt
remember that feeling?
that’s how i feel,
and i am sure others have
when you made your nasty comments
your shots and caustic put downs
remember how you felt this afternoon
that moment when the bully is bullied
you can give but you cannot take it
you dared to cross my path
and all along i wanted to get past
today when i made that comment
the humiliated and devastated you
that’s how you make me feel
remember that feeling,
as you sulk and snap at your desk
humiliated and just plain nasty
it’s not very good is it?
