I Find You Everywhere

here i am –
trying to do what i can
in a new place
sometimes,
the very love of friends
can feel so far away
the moments we hold onto
and bounce around the day

here i am –
just trying to keep my head together
here,
just getting through this april
despite the weather

here i am –
trying to be something, ‘half decent’
and not half baked
because when you give –
i will gratefully take

here i am –
trying to hold myself together
control my brain
and give you –
everything that you deserve
i find you everywhere
so here,
