Never

i never lost interest
and i never turned my back
i never promised the world
or presented absolute fact
i guess,
that part,
i yearned to fill
remained so empty
and had to be sealed
if taken for what i am
and not what you believe
you would have found –
i do not lose interest and i do not leave
