Leaving It All Behind

i will hold on for you
now i want to get older…
now i want to go on
now i’ve found a little motivation
it’s all that i needed
i am not saying it’s going to be easy now
but somehow there is a difference –
in what lies ahead
i am focused in my head
and that girl still smiles at me
i am sure i can sense the tension
but i am so shy
and gripped by apprehension
but i am sure she likes me
and don’t i sound like a child?
i will hold on for her
and i know this is never the answer
more like something to share
