The Old Man In My Sleep
the old man in my sleep
bent back and with gas lamp eyes
he carries a lantern
through my own personal seas
sleep is a pattern
one that’s so personal to me
the old man in my sleep
is not so publicity shy
i should be afraid
as i top-toe through this place
a crumbling childhood palace
but all i can hear,
are the cogs of my own nervous system
the beat of my heart
and the old man in my sleep

It was a ‘bright idea’. Can you do puns and play on words. If not I will teach you and you can teach me some German 🙂

😀 I can do puns, yes. I do not get all of them (language barrier, I usually do have a sometimes dark and ironic/sarcastic kind of humor), but I get most of them. 😉

Alright then. If I just stand there, mouth hanging open, non-responsive, please nudge me in the right direction. 😉

… and I was wondering what you wanted to “reach”, but you just corrected the words 😀

Yep 🙂 Was starting to wonder if it was word play and I was too dumb to understand. Would have been nice after just telling you I can understand these things… 😀
