A Stranger Hurt Me
a stranger didn’t know me
but they hurt me, all the same
won’t apologise
cannot see why the blame
if the knew why
they would apologise
because they would see –
the hurt caused inside
but an insensitive soul
would rather not summarise
would rather grow old
before they apologise
because they do not understand
the most hurtful blows
are with words and not hands
a stranger didn’t know me
but was sick all over my feelings
every ounce of bile –
landed in a pile deep inside of me
saying things so hurtful
a stranger didn’t know me
but really hurt me, all the same

A Stranger Hurt Me – Written Sunday 17th March 2002 (Aged 27)

“a stranger didn’t know me
but was sick all over my feelings”… Wow. Outstanding imagery! It sucks when this happens… when they get ‘in’. Sometimes even our thickest walls aren’t thick enough and they find a way through the cracks.

Thank you. I did like that bit. I always try to guess which ones you will comment on and what ones will interest you, I never guess correctly

😆 Waaay too obvious, my friend! Also, I’m off to visit my sister soon, so it might be a little while, before I respond to anything! 😉
