What To Make of Me – Written Thursday 18th November 2010 (Aged 35)

What To Make of Me

people never quite know –
what to make of me…
i should have come flat packed
with instructions for assembly
they make their judgements
they air their views
but they never quite settle –
on where i should reside
i sit ten percent to the left
we all live fibs and we all live lies
it’s how we manage to skate –
on the thinnest of ice
sometimes you are tied to fate
and then you can roll the dice
but it is already too late
i should have come flat packed
life has a punch that is never flat
but at least the the punchline s true
the humour is here,
it’s something i have never lacked
