You Are Not My Jesus Christ

you are not my saviour
you are not my jesus christ
i’m not in a dark room
and you are not my light
you are not my peter or my paul
or even the bandage
for when i fall
you are not my jesus christ
and we are not all so blind
though you proclaim –
this absolute truth
i suggest it’s all the lead
from your holy roof
you are not my jesus christ
and we are not beneath you
somehow living in the dark
with heads buried in the sand
you are not the genius
the only one to understand
you are not my jesus christ
you are not my saviour
you know nothing about life
it’s just a personality complex
which you need to put right
you are not my saviour
you are not my jesus christ
