The Brakes
i realise not that it is slowly floating away
and i feel myself breathing a little more easily
i cannot justify what has happened
i can only deal with the strain
part of me knows it is for the best
yet part of me is deeply ashamed
i realise now that i was more or less right
even when taking into account my mistakes
i should have stopped that juggernaut
i should have applied the brakes
