Corridor of Broken Lights
don’t we all often feel lost in life
trying to work out which path to take
should we take a path at all?
struggling to find a gear
scared that you may just stall
the truth is that isolation is just a state of mind
it’s when you become a desert island
and population is hard to find
life is the absolute mystery
that no agatha christie detective –
could ever hope to solve
we are born into the lottery of family
all we can do is try and evolve
don’t we all often feel lost in life
half glances over shadows in the corner
moments alone when the truth sneaks in
points of reference that we return to
wondering where it ends and where is begins
there is no higher point,
that will provide a definite reason
no one thing that is absolutely right
trying to make your way forwards
in a corridor of broken lights
