Somethings In The Past

can i get out at all?
could i hang out till i am alright
see them in my road
in the shadows of the night
on they go
till they see me slow
can i get out at all?
from the fears i grow
coming alive into my house
i will will run, because I am scared
it will be impulsive
because i dare
i will fight them till they are gone
feeding on the experiences
that we had when we were young
can i get out at all?
i reckon that i can
i reckon that i do understand
well, at least a little bit
so my hang-ups should shrink
and then pull me to safety
aways from the brink
because somethings are in the past
and they should never last
