I Won’t Be That James
i won’t be that james
the one made to carry guilt, blame and shame
i have everything to be proud of
i won’t let it tarnish my name
and you can continue to do it
but i will not be that james
the adults did it when i was just a child
as they proved their inadequacies
and parental responsibility ran wild
i won’t be that james
certainly not in that vein
cowards like yourself
who just blame others for their own faults
for whom,
self belief is locked in an impenetrable vault
i won’t be that james,
not the one you want me to be
the puzzle piece to a jigsaw of your own crazy
